Franchise FAQ’S

  • The initial franchise fee is $35,000 for the first location, with a $5,000 discount on additional units. For a multi-unit development agreement, a $5,000 deposit is required for each additional planned unit. The market potential will be discussed between the franchisee and the franchise development department. There is no fee for the franchise application.

  • Taziki's does not offer direct or indirect financing and will not guarantee your note, lease, or other obligation. Taziki's does maintain a preferred list of lenders that we can make available when we are at that step in the process. We are listed on the Franchise Registry list as an approved SBA-Franchise.

  • There is a 4% royalty fee and a 0.75% fee to the general marketing fund.

  • Each franchise applicant is unique, but generally Taziki’s is looking for a franchisee to have a net worth of $1.5M with liquid assets of $500,000.

  • The area development agreement will be unique to each market. It will take into account many variables including population, demographics, and density. Typically, agreements are drawn on county lines, but each agreement is unique to the market.

  • Taziki’s will provide an extensive training program to franchisees and operators in the beginning with plenty of scheduled ongoing training and support and more as needed, but this will be your business!

  • It typically takes from 9-12 months from application to ribbon-cutting but can be done faster in some cases depending on the real estate.

  • Having experience in the restaurant industry is a requirement to become a franchisee of Taziki’s. This experience can also be through an operating partner that will be part of the partnership. Every situation is different, and we will look at it on a case-by-case basis.

  • Every location is different depending on the real estate in your market. All of the detail on start-up costs can be found in the Taziki’s Franchise Disclosure Document which can be sent to you upon filling out an application.

  • Yes. The Franchise Development Department will assist you with market development strategies, while also relying on the local franchisee’s expertise of the market to help make the best possible decisions.

  • Most markets where Taziki’s thrive are medium - larger markets that can support multiple units. Going forward, most new markets will be multi-unit development agreements, but every market and situation is different. A simple discovery call with the Taziki’s Franchise Development Department can give you a good idea for market potential in just a few minutes.

  • It is not allowable to make revenue claims or guarantees. Revenue expectations are included in the Franchise Disclosure Document that will be sent to you upon completion of the application.

  • Very important. Being involved in the local community is one of the major ingredients in the Taziki’s culture compass. There are many ways to get involved.
